  1. By the standards that these things must be measured, admittedly not very high, Benedict has been and is an exemplary pope. I'm sure he's leading the church in the direction of and in the manner that he thinks is best. He is undeniably a man of great sensitivity, scholarship and thoughtful intelligence. If more of his fellow priests shared these traits with him, the church would be more highly regarded than it is.

    I hope he continues in good health and capable of full function and activity for a long time.

      You'll like this. A story of little Dutch boys who accused priests of sexually molesting them in the 1950s. The Police upon taking the reports, turned them back over to the Church, which institutionalized them in a church run mental hospital, where they were promptly castrated to help alleviate their dangerous homosexual feelings.

      It seems to me that this is the kind of treatment that you and Father Steve would like to see even today of those that accuse priests of inappropriate behavior. What are you two hiding?
