  1. Elevated members of the church hierarchy make a mistake when they ally themselves with extreme political organizations and media outlets.

    They need to be the leaders of all the Catholic community and not just a select portion. This is a major problem with leaders like Dolan and Chaput. One segment of the Catholic community is strongly supportive of them, another segment is repelled and becomes the opposition, most are simply apathetic and become disengaged to political partisanship imposed upon their beloved church.
