American Cardinal declares: "A “gathering storm” threatens religious liberty."

  1. "In the midst of the September 11, 2012, attacks on U.S. embassies in the Arab world, the mindset of the Obama administration was more fully revealed. The initial reaction from an official U.S. source came in the form of a statement: “The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. . . . Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”

The comment from the Cairo embassy occurred several hours before the Libyan attacks despite the author's attempt to conflate the incidents. Does she not agree with the statement? Would she have disagreed with it had the attacks not occurred or is she so desperate to rid American of the President Obama, the first black president, that she would resort to this dubious device.

I did something similar in the above paragraph, not telling a false hood but implying racism where there is none.
